We roll out new features to the IndieMade network eight or ten times a year, but this last month we released two enhancements that our customers have really been clamoring for: more control over store categories, and the power to change the way the automatically created thumbnails work. We're really excited about the new features.
Subcategories
Stores that have more than a dozen or so products really need to be put in categories so that customers can quickly find what they're looking for. But some IndieMaders have hundreds of products, so to help them organize them we now support nested categories. For example, you might have a general category Vintage with two subcategories Vintage Illustration and Vintage Photography. Just drag the category to the position you want it in the tree, and IndieMade takes care of the rest.
Of course, you can still reorder the categories, assign them search-engine friendly descriptions, put products in more than one category, and all that other good stuff.

Thumbnail Generation
IndieMade sites automatically generate thumbnails from the product, gallery, and news images that you upload. But you couldn't control how those thumbnails were generated: it was dependent on the theme. Up until now, that is!
You can select from one of four popular aspect ratios, whether your images are mostly portrait (taller than they are wide) or landscape (wider than they are tall), and how you want the images modified. Your thumbs will automatically be rebuilt for you, so you can play around with it until you get the effect you want. And of course you can easily switch back to the theme defaults if you like what IndieMade's designers built more.
