You've been there: The feeling of the looming deadline.
Scratching your brain endlessly to come up with the next great story or product in the collection‚ but to no avail. You're stuck. If you're lucky enough, you'll be struck by inspiration like a muse in a classical painting. But if not, well, that's where this column comes in: Going through different activities, you'll learn how to get those creative juices flowing again.
Today's fix: Get out of the studio and into the gym!
Say whaaaat? I know it sounds counterintuitive -- what does exercise have to do with creativity? But it has many benefits to you. Exercise gets you out of your head and grounded back in your body. It also gets your blood flowing and releases endorphins -- all of which brings clear, innovative thoughts. When you hop on your bike, get on your jogging gear or swimsuit and go, be out for at least 30 minutes. Push yourself; not to the point of exertion (nobody needs to die for their art), but feeling tired and energized simultaneously is just the kick you need to keep on creating.
